I’m Opening an online Carmelite Book Club

For a long time now, I’ve felt I have wanted to share the meditations I have with like minded others.
Carmelite spirituality has been one of the greatest graces in my life: the writings of St. Teresa of Ávila, St Thérèse of the Child Jesus and St Teresa Benedicta of the Cross have all shaped my interior world in ways I’m only just beginning to understand.
Over the past months, I’ve been on my own journey of healing, interior honesty, and rediscovery of God’s presence in my life.
Through this, a small longing has formed; a longing to live the Carmelite spirit in the world.
And so, after much prayer and reflection, I’ve decided to create something simple but meaningful:
A Carmelite Catholic Book Club
It’s not about reading huge amounts or proving anything. It’s a place to read together, reflect together, and accompany one another, so we can learn to live the spirit of Carmel in the world.
What this Book Club Is
This book club is centred around Catholic teaching and Carmelite spirituality.
Together, we will:
read short passages from the Carmelite book of month
share honest reflections
learn from the saints
grow in silence, prayer, and interior simplicity
My hope is that this becomes a little spiritual home for those who feel the same longing for stillness and depth.
Why I Am Starting This Now
Creating this book club feels like a natural step. It allows me to share my path honestly while walking alongside others who might be seeking the same interior clarity.
I don’t want to walk this path alone. I don’t think God wants me to either.
What to Expect
Each week, I’ll share:
a short reading
a simple reflection
a question for prayer or journaling
There will also be space to share your own journey, thoughts, and experiences. I will also host free book workshops.
The group will grow slowly — just like the Carmelite way — and that’s exactly how I want it.
You’re Welcome Here
Whether you are familiar with Carmelite spirituality or discovering it for the first time…Whether you are Catholic, returning to the faith, or simply searching…Whether your life feels peaceful or messy right now…
You are welcome.
This group is completely free.
Please note; I don’t receive any commissions or affiliates from books or resources — everything here is shared simply from love, faith, and my own spiritual journey.
If you feel drawn to join, you can find the group here:
Thank you for being here, for reading this, and for wanting to grow.
May St. Teresa of Ávila walk with us.
May Our Lady of Mount Carmel protect this little community.
Let nothing disturb you.
